Even though I have never focused on industrial design, I have had a few projects in this area in recent years. Here are 3 example projects.

Spexx
The aim of the SPEXX project was to create a combination of bone conduction headphones and glasses. Both products use an earpiece over the ear as a holder on the head, but if you use both together, you also have to wear two earpieces over the ear.

The wearing comfort that bone conduction headphones advertise disappears completely when wearing glasses and for this reason no manufacturer of such headphones advertises with models wearing glasses.

As bone conduction headphones are often used for sports, it was obvious to combine them with sunglasses, which are also frequently used for outdoor sports.

Horst
In this project, a product was developed to make scientific findings tangible and usable.

I dealt with the physical effects of balance and equilibrium. These are brought to life and vividly demonstrated in my swinging figure. A further feature of my object is that its harmonious swinging can contribute to relaxation in various stressful situations.

Chest Compression Defibrillator
It can happen suddenly and to anyone. Either through external influence or due to health problems. Someone loses consciousness. At this moment, action must be taken quickly. As a first aider, you must perform CPR and use a defibrillator (AED) to restore the heart rhythm and heartbeat in the event of cardiac arrest.

I set myself the task of designing a new type of defibrillator against cardiac arrest that places a special focus on intuitive handling for first aiders, relieves them of tasks and quickly helps with the rescue.

The result is a defibrillator with an integrated chest compression device. This chest compression device performs chest compressions correctly and thus relieves the first aider of one of the most complex tasks in resuscitation.
