A pair of Sunglasses that speaks to your Bones

“Enjoy the beat, notice the street.”

Life can change in an instant. Whether jogging, cycling, or just walking outdoors, we want to enjoy music without losing touch with our surroundings. This product-design project explores how bone-conduction headphones can be integrated into a sunglasses frame, allowing users to listen to music while staying aware of the environment. The result: a combination of two devices into one seamless, safe, and stylish solution.

Backstory

People who wear glasses know the problem: two temple arms over each ear,  one for the glasses, one for the headphones quickly becomes uncomfortable. Especially during sports, comfort makes all the difference. So why not combine both devices into a single pair of sunglasses? This keeps comfort intact while letting users enjoy music and remain aware of their surroundings.

Vision

Imagine sunglasses that aren’t just a shield from the sun. They carry music, calls, and guidance directly to your inner ear via bone conduction. They keep their sporty, aerodynamic shape, while the temples take charge of high-quality audio. No extra pressure, no awkward overlap, just a natural, integrated experience that merges in one effortless product.

Result

The final design balances technology and comfort. Slightly voluminous temples hold vibration modules without looking bulky. The shield curves around the head for stability and aerodynamics. With customizable colors for both lenses and temples, the glasses can be as bold or subtle as the wearer wishes, part gadget, part fashion statement.

Conclusion

SPEXX show that technology can enhance not just comfort, but also safety. By transmitting sound through bone conduction, ears remain free, allowing the wearer to stay aware of their surroundings. Music and environmental awareness coexist, making every run, bike ride, or outdoor moment both enjoyable and secure.
